Russia to ban faith healing?

From the article: "RUSSIAN lawmakers backed a bill banning faith healers, witches and sorcerers from advertising their services today in a potential blow to the booming business."

Further down: "Esoteric healers outnumber doctors in Russia, and the annual turnover of the business is close to $2 billion, said lawmaker Tatyana Yakovleva, who sits on Russia's parliamentary health committee."

I was quite surprised that they even outnumber doctors.

I had no idea Russia had so many sorcerers. Anyone who has read Terry Pratchett knows the threat to democracy this poses.
